Dr Maral Seyed Ahadi

CONSULTANT NEUROLOGIST 
MD, MPH, FRACP

Dr Maral Seyed Ahadi is a specialist neurologist who completed her medical and neurology training at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, finishing her MD–MPH in 2011 and specialist neurology training in 2017. She subsequently worked as a consultant neurologist, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological care before relocating to Australia.

After moving to Australia, Dr Seyed Ahadi undertook a one-year stroke fellowship at John Hunter Hospital within the Hunter New England Local Health District, gaining advanced experience in acute stroke pathways, thrombolysis and thrombectomy decision‑making, and multidisciplinary post‑stroke care. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) following this period in 2025.

Dr Seyed Ahadi later moved to Brisbane to pursue further subspecialty training in neuroimmunology at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Her current work focuses on autoimmune and inflammatory neurological diseases, particularly Multiple Sclerosis and other demyelinating disorders.

Special interests: headache and migraine, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, general neurology.
