Dr Reuben Beer

Dr Reuben Beer is a specialist neurologist at Brisbane Neurology and the Mater Hospital. He is locally trained and completed a fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology. Dr Beer was a qualified pharmacist prior to completing his postgraduate degree in medicine at the University of Queensland.
Dr Beer has special interests in multiple sclerosis (including diagnosis and management), headache and migraine (including advanced therapies and Botox) and myasthenia gravis. Dr Beer is currently accepting general neurology referrals.
Dr Beer has published peer-reviewed scientific articles on myasthenia gravis and autoimmune neurological disorders. He has also presented research at national and international neurological conferences including at the American Academy of Neurology annual meeting. Dr Beer’s current research focus relates to early brain MRI changes in multiple sclerosis. This novel research has been supported by grant funding from the Mater, Queensland Health, and the Translational Research Institute.
Reuben enjoys spending time with his family, running, finding new music and listening to fantasy audiobooks.
