Dr David Lee is a specialist neurologist at Brisbane Neurology and Mater Hospital Brisbane, and publicly at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Lee has a special interest in epilepsy, headaches, and neuromuscular conditions, as well as general neurology. Dr Lee holds an academic appointment as a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland.
Epilepsy:ย He completed his Epilepsy Fellowship at the Advanced Epilepsy Unit in Mater Hospital Brisbane from 2020-2021, and currently has a public epilepsy clinic at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He is ANZAN Level 3 certified (highest level) in EEG reading and reads EEGs at Brisbane Neurology, and publicly at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospital Brisbane.
Migraine/Headaches:ย He is experienced in diagnosing migraine mimics as well as the management of complex headache disorders. This includes advanced treatments such as Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections and Eptinezumab (Vyepti) infusions (at Northwest and Greenslopes Private Hospital infusion units with public and private options available).
Neuromuscular:ย He has undertaken additional training at Gold Coast Hospital and is an ANZAN certified Level 2 EMG supervisor, with experience in diverse neuromuscular conditions. He incorporates Neuromuscular Ultrasound into his scope of practice.
Special interests: epilepsy, headaches, and neuromuscular conditions, as well as Botox injections for migraine, cervical dystonia, hemifacial spasms, limb spasticity and hypersalivation.
