Dr Arash Kahrom (MD, FRACP) is an Australian trained specialist neurologist at Brisbane Neurology and the Mater Hospital. Dr Kahrom holds an academic position at the University of Queensland and is involved in the education and ongoing research of Neurology with medical trainees, Epilepsy fellows, and medical students. He participates in ongoing research as a member of theโฏMater Epilepsy Unit Research Group.
Upon obtaining fellowship in Neurology from Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP), he moved to Melbourne for further fellowship in advanced Epilepsy at one of the largest comprehensive Epilepsy programs in Australia at The Royal Melbourne hospital and The Alfred hospital.ย

Dr Kahrom gained experience in the assessment and management of complex epilepsy including advanced imaging, intracranial EEG, as well as prolonged inpatient and outpatient EEG monitoring.
Dr Kahrom has also completed a fellowship in stroke at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, giving him expertise in management of acute and long-term management of stroke, transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs), and prevention of stroke. Dr Kahrom has an ongoing interest in research.
Dr Kahrom has a special interest in epilepsy and first seizure assessment, stroke, transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs) and syncope, headache assessment and management; conditions such as migraines (including use of advanced therapies such as monoclonal antibodies), Botulinum toxin (Botox) injection for various neurological conditions such as migraine, blepharospasm and bruxism, and Parkinsonโs disease and tremors.
Outside of work, Arash is firstly a family man who loves good coffee and fine food and enjoys tennis when he can.
