Associate Professor Stefan Blum, (Dr.Med., PhD, ANZAN) is a specialist neurologist and founding partner of Brisbane Neurology.
Dr Blum specialises in immune disorders affecting the brain and nervous system. He is a recognised expert in the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases, which includes multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, autoimmune encephalitis as well as a range of other immune mediated diseases of nerve and muscle.
Moreover, he has extensive experience in nerve conduction studies and EMG.

Based on his clinical interest in these conditions, Dr Blum also has an active research interest in neuroimmunology. He is supervising PhD students through The University of Queensland. Also, he is involved in a number of ongoing projects and clinical trials within this field, collaborating with local, national and international groups. He frequently presents to a variety of audiences on related topics.
Dr Blum completed his training as a neurologist in 2011. He has completed a PhD in Immunogenetics of Guillain-Barre Syndrome at The University of Queensland as well as a doctoral thesis in Immunology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
He has a special interest in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology.
When he can find the time, he likes to hit the trails with his mountain bike and enjoys running or hiking in the great outdoors.
