Consultant Paediatric Neurologist

Dr Deepa Srinivasan is a Paediatric Neurologist who is passionate about improving access to paediatric neurology care for the children of Queensland. She has been practicing publicly as a children’s neurologist at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, since 2017.
Dr Srinivasan trained in Paediatric Neurology through the Children’s Hospital Network at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and The Children’s Hospital Westmead. She has dual training qualifications in Neurology and General Paediatrics with over 20 years medical experience after graduating at Sydney University in 2002.
She has broad clinical experience in a wide range of acute and chronic neurological disorders in children, specifically epilepsy, neuromuscular conditions, headache, and functional neurological disorders. She has a special interest in Neurogenetics (Neurofibromatosis) and is passionate about professional development & medical education and teaching, and regularly facilitates educational workshops for general paediatricians and trainees.
Dr Srinivasan believes every child should have access to high quality health care within their community.
In her leisure time she enjoys spending time with her family, playing music and getaways exploring new things in Queensland (always on the lookout for great spots!).
