Dr Dionisio was born in the UK and completed his medical degree in Dublin, Ireland. He completed his training in Neurology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He then undertook further specialty training in Epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Epilepsy Centre (USA) where he was the Chief Epilepsy Fellow. Dr Dionisio returned to Australia in 2015 and established the Advanced Epilepsy Unit at the Mater Centre for Neurosciences, where he was Director until recently. This was Queensland’s first Level 4 surgical epilepsy centre. He has also worked at the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Consultant Epileptologist since 2015.
Dr Dionisio is an expert in stereo-EEG methodology and the assessment of patients for surgical management of epilepsy. He is an expert in all forms of epilepsy diagnosis and management.
